Interview: John Watson

John Watson is the President of Eleven: A Music Company and John Watson Management. His clients include Jimmy Barnes, Birds Of Tokyo, Cold Chisel, Gotye, Missy Higgins, Midnight Oil, The Presets & Silverchair.

In this interview John talks about the impact of COVID-19 on his life, business interests and the artists he works with. He provide insights into the pandemic’s broader impact through the many layers of our music eco system. He looks to the future with measured optimism and belief in the inherent talent within our music community drawing on lessons of history that show such talent will always be valued if properly supported.

As part of our commitment to capturing and sharing great Australian music stories, the Australian Music Vault responded to the challenges of COVID-19 by creating Banding Together, a series of video stories that capture, in real time, the impact that this pandemic has had on the music community.
